Adding Media to Requests

Adding Media to Requests

Our helpdesk, allows us to provide attachments to each request, so that there is a permanant log and access is available to both customer and staff.

It is important to note, that images or video can not be added directly into the Activity editor box, only text is allowed.

If you need to add images, then use the attachments options.
We have a maximum of 4 attachments per request submission, so if you have more than 4, then consider zipping them into an archive file first.

In some cases, you may want/need to add video to the request. The best way to do this would be to upload the file by FTP using a program like Filezilla.  Currently FTP access is limited.

Once the file has been uploaded, you can then create a link to the file.

In the editor, you will see the Insert/Edit Link icon on the bottom row.
Click on that button to open the dialogue box.
Once open you will see the URL field, eneter: /media/video/FILENAME.EXT where FILENAME is the name of your file and EXT is the extension of the uploaded video.
In the Text field, just enter Click Here.
No other parameters need to be entered, so just click insert.

These links are relative to the sites domain, so there is NO need to enter www.adapstsy.com/
