TM50 - Increasing Pocket Advance
Question
When using the TM-50, it only feeds on one pocket at a time which seems to slow the process down, how can we increase throughput.
Solution
Check the "Advanced" setting as it is probably set to 1.
Change to an appropriate value.
Example
Change the Advance parameter to 5.
- When the foot switch is pressed the tape advances, if a vision system is attached, then inspection takes place before advancing.
- If a vision system is used, a pass signal is sent from the vision system to the TM-50 controller and then the pocket advances.
- Inspection and advance will continue until either the advance quantity is reached or in the case of vision systems, until an error is detected.
Please also refer to the TM-50 User Manual as this will provide additional information on this feature.
